Modern holiday home (completely renovated in May 2017) with magnificent views of the mountains, set in 4,500 m² of fenced grounds, in the middle of the extensive and green Posada river plain on the outskirts of Torpé, a small village (population 3,000) near Posada (4 km) and La Caletta (11 km).
If you are looking for peace and quiet rather than the tourist hustle and bustle, this is the place for you, as it is a country house where you can relax and unwind undisturbed.
The house is also very conveniently located as a starting point for excursions.
The nearest beach (Orvile) is approx.
5 minutes away by car and La Caletta approx.
10 minutes.
It is also ideal for hiking in the mountains to Lago di Posada.
The garden is natural and rustic.
Air conditioning ensures a pleasant room temperature.
A large flatscreen offers TV fun for the entire room (terrestrial programmes Italy, SAT Astra).
The TV can also be seen from the bed (if the bedroom door is left open) (e.g.
if there are two people in the room).
The holiday home is furnished like a studio (40 m²) with an open-plan American kitchen, dining area and sofa area.
A separate bedroom (16 m²) for two people, which is very spacious by Italian standards, and a cosy sofa bed (the sofa folds out into a bed and vice versa with a simple movement of the hand, bedding can also be folded in) for 2 people offer sleeping space for a total of 4 people.
The bathroom is also bright and spacious with a shower, bathtub, bidet, WC, washbasin and washing machine.
There is a covered terrace around almost the entire house, which offers protection from the sun and invites you to linger with seating and bistro tables.
There are plenty of free parking spaces available.
It is also possible to park a camping vehicle (motorhome, caravan) and electricity connections are available.
The house can therefore serve as a base for excursions.
Public transport (bus to Olbia (40 km) also to the airport) is available from Torpé (approx.
15 minutes' walk).
However, a car is definitely an advantage.
The water supply in the outdoor area of Torpé is fed from the Lago di Posada.
Filters for purification are of course installed.
As the water is not chlorinated, it can turn yellow in summer.
The water is safe to use for personal hygiene, washing and dishwashing (we also use it for cooking).
Pets, such as small dogs, are very welcome and have great opportunities to run around on the extensive grounds with their numerous olive and citrus trees.
Torpé is located in the extensive, green valley of the Posada river in the province of Nuoro, approx.
5 km from the coast and therefore away from the tourist hustle and bustle.
It is an unspoilt village with around 3,000 inhabitants and is conveniently located on the Olbia - Cagliari axis, making it an ideal starting point for excursions of all kinds.
Hiking, fishing, exploring the area by motorbike or even the wonderful sandy beaches or Lago di Posada, which can be reached in a few minutes, offer many opportunities to enjoy a holiday according to individual preferences.
There are some small supermarkets and corner shops with household goods, a bank, post office, some bars and pizzerias, internet café, tobacco and magazines and greengrocers in the village.
The neighbouring villages of Posada (approx.
3 km) and La Caletta (11 km) offer souvenir shops and a wider range of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions and sights.
The house is located on the outskirts and is approx.
15 minutes' walk from the centre of Torpè.
It is located on the opposite side of the river to Torpè on the road to Concas (not very busy) and you can enjoy the picturesque backdrop of the mountains.
From Olbia it takes about 30 minutes to cover the 40 km (also from the airport) via the motorway.
Ideal for motorcyclists, as no one is disturbed here and there are no direct neighbours, just fields and meadows.
There are plenty of free parking spaces at the house.
The whole area is fenced.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob (4 burners), oven, microwave, extractor fan, fridge and freezer compartment, dishwasher.
Pots, cooking utensils.
Crockery and glasses etc.
are also sufficiently available.
There is also a barbecue in the outdoor area.
