In fact, 600 metres from the house is one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily, with its golden sand surrounded by fragrant hedges of rosemary, thyme, myrtle, boxwood and lentiscus, typical of the Mediterranean maquis, and interspersed with white sandstone cliffs that plunge into an incredible turquoise sea.
To the south of this beach is the Vendicari coastal reserve that extends for 10 km to San Lorenzo, near the fishing village of Marzamemi.
Just north of the beach is the small seaside resort of Lido di Noto, which has a promenade with bars, ice cream parlours and a beautiful beach.
The baroque town of Noto, a UNESCO heritage site, is 6 km away.
