On the edge of a tiny village in Istria, surrounded by vineyards and blossoming flowers, lies this lovingly restored old country house and guest cottage.
It is nestled in a large garden (2300 square metres) with old trees and has a large swimming pool (12x5 m) with Roman, semi-circular steps and a terrace made of natural stone.
The sea and the provincial town of Porec can be reached in fifteen kilometres.
The rarely large garden around the two houses looks like a lush green oasis from another world.
A huge 400-year-old ladonia grows proudly out of the ground in the middle of the greenery and provides both houses with the shade they need during the shimmering midday heat of summer.
Under the imposing tree is a rustic natural stone table for romantic Mediterranean meals and other shared moments in the garden.
The pool water is ecologically up-to-date and enriched with a light sea salt sole.
Underwater lighting ensures romantic evenings in the pool.
At this holiday resort, you can really recharge your batteries and leave the rest of the world and its challenges behind you.
Outside there is garden furniture, sun loungers, three parasols by the pool, table tennis, barbecue and parking for four cars (two directly at the house, two at the rear garden entrance).
The house consists of thick stone walls (some dating back to Byzantine times), many niches and winding corners.
It has two open fireplaces and artistically painted tiles in the bathroom and kitchen.
Each bedroom is a different colour.
Here you can unwind and really relax - completely off the beaten track.
The house can comfortably accommodate eight people.
In the main house you will find an elaborately and luxuriously renovated stone house on two floors: There are three double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, three bathrooms (two with separate showers), a well-equipped kitchen (hob, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric kitchen appliances), kitchen and lounge with open fireplace, TV with satellite connection, DVD player, radio CD player.
Both houses have central heating.
The bed dimensions are: Pink bedroom, double bed: 180/200cm, yellow bedroom, double bed: 180/200cm, blue bedroom, double bed: 160/200cm, twin bedroom, floral fabric, each bed: 135/200cm.
WLAN will also be available from 2015.
Porec is about 15 km away, there are supermarkets, ATM, post office, petrol stations, shops, restaurants, cafés and Motovun about ten km, Rovinj about 30 km, Trieste 60 km and Pula 68 km.
You can go cycling, mountain biking, hiking, diving (including other water sports), horse riding, visit the film festival in Motovun in July, look for truffles in Livade, go on boat trips along the Croatian Adriatic or take a trip to the lagoon city of Venice.
