Thea Thalassa Villa (Sea View in greek) is located in Kato Galatas, a quite area not far from the center of Chania (4,9 km) and the old town.
The village of Kato Galatas (Kato stands for down in greek, here meaning “lower on the hill”) has become in relative terms a suburban area of Chania city, yet still retains a quite and residential atmosphere.
The house is built on the lower edge of the hill, right above the sea and can be reached either through the road which connects Chania and Kissamos (westbound) or the National road (marked as E65) which connects all the main cities of the northern coastline of Crete.
Within walking distance from the house there are restaurants by the sea, cafés, fast food and pizza, mini and super markets.
By the local bus (Numb 15 or 21) in about 20 min or by taxi in 10-15 min you may find yourself at the center of Chania to explore the venetian old port.
On the west side of the main road (old national road) are the sandy beaches of Stalos, Agia Marina and Platanias.
More crowdy and full of beach bars, restaurants, shops, bars and night clubs.
Walk along the coastline to enjoy the sunset and the sea view.
On the east side of the main road (way to the city) are the sandy beaches of Kalamaki (5 min walking from the house), Agi Apostoli and Chrisi Akti which leads you after less than 5 km to the old town of Chania (if you enjoy walking this is a very nice stroll across the coastline!).
In 1 min driving you can find yourself in the National Road (E65) so you have very easy access to the famous beaches of “Falassarna”, “Elafonisi” and “Balos”.
Chania airport is 15 km (about 20-30 min driving).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM CHANIA AIRPORT AND SOUDA PORT Follow the road signs to the highway and towards Kissamos (westbound).
Take the Galatas exit, turn right on the stop sign.
Keep going straight and follow Kato Galatas sign.
You will see the house on your right hand side just before the end of the road (street name and number: Eleftherias 1)

This house used to be our family's hideaway for the summer.
Now it is totally renovated for all year use in a modern fashion that makes you feel it is your home away from home.
You will enjoy breakfast in the morning or your drink in the evening in the big veranda with the outstanding sea view.
Swimming in the private pool with the breathtaking view will relax your body and senses.
300 meters from the sandy beach of Kalamaki and the national road and just 5km from Chania centre.

The house (80 m2) -situated in a private lot (400 m2)- consists of one living room with a sofa bed, 2 bedrooms (the master with a king size bed and ensuit bathroom) and 2 bathrooms.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
From the balcony and the outdoor pool (35 m2) you will enjoy the amazing view to the Aegean sea.
A private parking is available at the lot.

The nearest beach is 50 metres away.
Kalamaki sandy beach is in 300m where you can find restaurants, cafe , pizza, gym, pharmacy and mini markets.
The town centre, the old city and the venetian old port is in 4,9 km away.
Infants and little children should always be under parents supervision
During winter time (november-april) the house is available for 1-4 guests
Guests should respect the quite hours 15.00 until 17.30 and 23.00 until 7.00
Pets are not allowed
